Our Smart Series of readers solve
lots of problems that arise when trying to integrate an existing barcode,
magstripe or proximity card into a new system. Smart Series readers are custom built for each
customer and card application. Due to their custom nature, there is a 4 week lead
time on delivery for the Smart Series readers.
There is management software available for these models.

Stand Alone Readers for Access Control
Smart Slot SA
Stand-Alone barcode swipe reader with 64K of memory, for use in Access Control
installations. The Smart Slot SA reader contains an internal relay for door
activation, and is easily programmable by hand or by downloading.
Smart Mag SA
Stand-Alone magnetic stripe swipe reader with 64K of memory, for use in Access
Control installations. The Smart Mag SA reader contains an internal relay for
door activation, and may be programmed by downloading.
Magbar SA
Stand-Alone barcode and magnetic stripe reader, with 64K memory for downloading,
and an internal relay, for use in Access Control installations, and can be
programmed by hand or by downloading.
Smart Slot STA
Stand-Alone barcode swipe reader with 128K of
memory, for use in Access Control and Time & Attendance installations. The
Smart Slot STA reader contains an internal relay for door activation, and logs
every access attempt with a date/time stamp. Printer logging is supported, as
well as schedules. Similar to the Smart Slot SA, but with audit trail.
Works with HMS Management Software.

read card. Supports printer logging as well as scheduling. Similar to the
Magbar SA, but with audit trail. Works with HMS
Management Software.

Highpower Management
System Version 1.0 (HMS)
The Highpower Management System is the most sophisticated user
management system available for the Smart Series STA Readers and the new IBC
8000 and 8000-POE Door Controllers. The software allows the management of
cards and card holders, schedules, holidays and door properties through the use
of a Microsoft SQL Server database. Using the information configured in
the database, the software will fully coordinate and transmit information to all
of the readers in the system. The proper schedules, holiday and card
information is transmitted to the appropriate reader automatically. The
package is written with the latest development tools and is specifically
designed to run with Windows XP under the .NET 2.0 framework.
The system also automatically retrieves the log information from
the reader and records this information in the SQL database. Using this
information, the software has a built-in report generating facility which will
allow administrators to generate reports describing system activity.
Reports can be customized based on a particular card holder or door.
All common networks types are supported including RS-232, RS-422
in protocol mode and TCP/IP Addressed Ethernet. Software fully supports
both 7.X and 8.X firmware versions of the Smart series devices. The system
is not limited as to the number of users and card handled in the system, but
limitations can occur if you fill up all of the memory in the hardware.

Modem
Widget 1.0
Modem Widget is a program used to retrieve the audit
trail log from an STA series reader via modem link. With this software,
you can use any .NET based Windows PC with a modem to dial up a remote STA, which is connected
to the phone system with a second external modem. Once you supply a phone
number, the software uses the local modem to communicate with a remote modem/reader
combination to retrieve the audit trail log, allowing you to save the log as a text file. This software is useful for retrieving remote logs
created with a STA in "accumulate mode". Designed by Highpower's
engineering staff, this software can be
modified for more specific modem applications. Call the
