Our Smart Series of readers solve lots of problems that arise when trying to integrate an existing barcode,  mag-stripe or proximity card into a new system. 

Smart Series readers can be ordered with any combination of barcode, mag-stripe and proximity card support.  They can also be ordered in a variety of interfaces including RS232, RS422, TCP/IP, 802.11af Power-over-Ethernet TCP/IP among many others.

There is management software available for these models.

Smart Series readers are custom built for each customer and card application.  Due to their custom nature, there is a 2-4 week lead time on delivery for the Smart Series readers.

Stand Alone Readers for Access Control

Smart Slot SA

Stand-Alone barcode swipe reader with 64K of memory, for use in Access Control installations. The Smart Slot SA reader contains an internal relay for door activation, and is easily programmable by hand or by downloading.

Smart Mag SA

Stand-Alone magnetic stripe swipe reader with 64K of memory, for use in Access Control installations. The Smart Mag SA reader contains an internal relay for door activation, and may be programmed by downloading.

Magbar SA

Stand-Alone barcode and magnetic stripe reader, with 64K memory for downloading, and an internal relay, for use in Access Control installations, and can be programmed by hand or by downloading.

Smart Slot STA

Stand-Alone barcode swipe reader with 128K of memory, for use in Access Control and Time & Attendance installations. The Smart Slot STA reader contains an internal relay for door activation, and logs every access attempt with a date/time stamp. Printer logging is supported, as well as schedules.  Similar to the Smart Slot SA, but with audit trail. Works with HMS Enterprise Management Software.

Magbar STA

Stand-Alone barcode and magnetic stripe reader, with 128K of memory, an internal relay for door control. Used in Access Control and Time & Attendance installations. Date/Time stamping and logging of every read card. Supports printer logging as well as scheduling.  Similar to the Magbar SA, but with audit trail.  Works with HMS Management Software.

Smart Prox SA

Stand Alone Proximity reader for use in access control. Supported proximity cards include HID and P-Series Cards. RS232, RS422 or TCP/IP interface.
 
Smart Prox STA

Stand Alone Proximity reader for use in access control, and time and attendance. Supported proximity cards include HID and P-Series cards. RS-232, RS-422 interface or TCP/IP interface available.
